Caterpillar

The caterpillar below was hidden behind the flower of the Cabbage Tree Tree (Andira inermis). The main character in the picture was actually the flowers of the tree while the caterpillar was later discovered when examining the picture closely. The 2 host plants listed in the Butterfly Circle website were Mimosa pigra (Giant Sensitive Tree) and Melastoma malabathricum (Singapore Rhododendron). Since the caterpillar looked rather healthy, this tree may be its host plant as well.
